Cleaning

If the bamboo furniture is kept in shaded, humid conditions, it is susceptible to mildew growth. If possible, remove the mildew as soon as you spot it. If left unchecked for an extended period, it can actually stain your bamboo. Luckily, mildew is a surface blemish and is easy to remove.

Cleaning

We recommend treating the bamboo at least once a year with GREY-GO bamboo protector. GREY-GO is widely available on the Internet.

Cleaning mixture

Alternatively, you can use this mixture: Put a couple drops of dish soap into 3 liters of water. Mix in two or three teaspoons ammonia. Wear thick gloves and clean outdoors, or in a breezy indoor environment. Dip a sponge into this cleaning mixture and wring it out well. Wipe down the furniture and rinse with clean water. Make sure to remove all the soapy mixture. Dry the furniture by setting it outside to air dry or use a cool hair dryer.
