Cleaning

If the bamboo furniture is kept in shaded, humid conditions it is susceptible to mildew growth. If possible, remove the mildew as soon as you spot it. If left unchecked for an extended period of time, it can actually stain your bamboo. Luckily, mildew is a surface blemish and is easy to remove.

We recommend cleaning and treating the bamboo at least once a year with GREY-GO bamboo cleaner and protector. GREY-GO is widely available on the Internet.

Alternatively you can use this mixture: Put a couple drops of dish soap into 3 litre of water. Mix in two or three teaspoons ammonia. Wear thick gloves and clean outdoors, or in a breezy indoor environment. Dip a sponge into this cleaning mixture and wring it out well. Wipe down the furniture and rinse with clean water. Make sure to remove all the soapy mixture. Dry the furniture by setting it outside to air dry or use a cool hair dryer.
